Book 5

Good news and bad news.  The Good news is that Book 5 is progressing well and all of my beta readers have decided that it isn't terrible.  One even thinks it is the best one yet.  My writing is matured and the fart jokes are far more intricate than ever before.

The bad news is that I'm slipping on my dates and my effort to have 3 books out this year is rapidly fading.  My expectation at this point is the second week of Jan.  You may not know it, but I work to support our valiant health care workers and that means I've been busy lately.  That had been complicating my writing and editing schedule.

One of these books I'll be able to quit and go full time, but I wouldn't feel right leaving everyone in the lurch with the pandemic about so I'm trying to do everything.  Slowly.

I do have the cover for Book 5 and it is great.  I can't wait to release my next book and let you guys read through the next arc of Jim's story.

  1. While I can't wait to get my hands on it, I rather prefer quality over quantity, so clearly, take the time you need to make this the best possible. If one more week means more laugh, fun, excitment and adventures, it is fine by me.
Make it the best possible, whatever the time needed, I am sure we can all find things to occupy ourselves in the meantime.

  3. I found this series last week, and read the whole series in three days. You did an excellent job creating an exciting and engaging world. I've spent the last several days trying to find more books like your series, but most of them haven't caught my attention and I've given up on them by about chapter 4. All that to say I'm eagerly anticipating your next book, but take your time and make it the best you can.

  5. I listened to the first four books all last week, and I ended up here because I was doing a Google search for book 5. I love when I find series that I enjoy and I can share them with my pre-teen and teenaged sons also.

  8. I just started this series a week ago. I have listened to all for on audible, I have to say this is one of the best book series in the genre. I know you are a busy person, but how long after release will the audiobook be available?

    1. With the audiobook release.. I’m trying to remember, think a month or two? I listen to the audiobooks because I work quite a bit and have a long commute - only time to read! Soo I get it. My teenage son and I somehow bond over The Jim and have been doing the hurry up to wait thing too. But I understand demanding work - this year has been a practice in reprioritizing.

  12. One of the most compelling parts of the series is seeing the writing progress as the main character does. It’s an unbeatable combination. Thanks for sharing your stories!
What’s the secret to such rapid output?

  14. I'm waiting with great anticipation for book 5. Book 4 had so many elements of surprise and a couple of twists I absolutely didn't expect. I had no idea litrpg was this hysterically funny in addition to being captivating.

  15. Don't suppose you need any more beta readers...? 😘

  16. Just wanted to say that yours is the only book that I've checked on daily to see if it's come out. Even for other books that get delayed for an unknown amount of time, I don't check daily and usually just wait for them to come out.

Thanks for making a great series that I look forward to continuing!

The no town series has been what's been helping me get through this pandemic.

  21. Amazing series can't wait for the others. I'll be honest with you though, I still want books 5 to 8 I would hate to wait to read the others if only book 5 is released. Take your time and release all four together. And thanks for your help in our time of need(the health care help you are providing). Later noobs

  22. I just finished book 4 and I wanted to let you know that your story keeps getting better with every book. Truly a staggering amount of improvement from the first book which I found very entertaining, but a light read. I am on book 4 and feel like the story has just begun anew and I am excited to read the next one.
