Status of Book 3 Book Three is in the works, but things are progressing more slowly than I would like.  I found a significant issue with the plot early in the book which is requiring a massive amount of rewrites.  The book is long enough to release now, but I'm of the mind that quality takes time but mediocrity lasts forever.  So I'm fixing it, and it's going to get done when it gets done. Hopefully, that won't be too terribly long, however. December is still possible... but I'm not confident in that.  In any case, I will release the book when I'm satisfied with the quality of the plot and humor.  Nothing less than the highest quality fart jokes will be tolerated. I can tell you it involves a castle, Grebthar day, and of an angry shoulder-mounted demon.
So I don't read my blog enough. Sorry, everyone.  I actually had a mind to post weekly updates on my blog for a while, but I got distracted.  After the audiobook I think I'll try to keep this up a bit more.  So what's going on?  I'm working on book 3, called "Castle of the Noobs" presently.  It's going to gather up a bunch of the loose threads form books 1 and 2 and combine them into something interesting I hope.  I'm still going to have the same snarky humor, but this one is a bit more serious.  I reread the last book and decided that Jim needed to have some personal growth so that's also a focus of the book.  Hopefully, I don't get any more nasty emails about how Jim's behavior.  Honestly keeping Jim tonally accurate is a bit more of a challenge than I thought it would be.   This is my first series of books and there are some growing pains.  I believe I can manage them though.  I'm at 56k words, give or take, and...

Well, this is going to my official writing blog as the author of the Mayor of Noobtown.  I'm currently working on the second book Village of Noobtown which I'm hoping to have written by the end of April.  Then it will need to be edited which given my writing style takes about as long as writing it did.  For the curious, I'm doing fewer character sheets.  Less long winded skill descriptions.  But I'm still keeping in Jim's though processes about how and why he does things.   I'm still tweaking dialogue so the snark is in full effect.   I'm also trying to expand word count but I'm not sure by how much yet. Mayor of Noobtown was 82k words, less if you don't like menus.  Village is aiming towards 90k with a smaller number of words invested into character sheets.  Also I can update the manuscript for Mayor, so if you do find errors please feel free to email me at ryan.rimmel@gmail.com and I'll go fix them.  I have an updated ma...
